Rhubarb Compote & Soft ice




Today, my mom and I made a really good dessert that I want to share . It is easy to do and incredibly tasty . We finished the day's dinner with rhubarb compote and homemade soft ice cream in the sun . The recipe below is for four people. Se receptet på svenska nedan.
Rhubarb compote :
0.5 kg rhubarb
1 ½ cup of glucose syrup ( it also works well with plain white sugar)
1 cup water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ vanilla rod
How to do Rhubarb compote:
Slice rabarben into small pieces (see picture above).
Then add the sliced rhubarb, glucose syrup, water, cinnamon and hollowed vanilla bean in a saucepan.
Let boil until the rhubarb has softened and stir together. Done!
Serve with vanilla ice cream or homemade soft ice cream (see recipe below ) .
Soft ice cream:
1 cup heavy cream
½ liter ( 500g ) vanilla ice cream
How to to Soft ice::
Whip the cream.
Whisk together then the whipped cream and ice cream. DONE!

- 0,5 kg rabarber
- 1 ½ dl glukossirap (det går bra med vanligt vitt socker också)
- 1 dl vatten
- 1 tsk kanel
- ½ vaniljstång
Gör såhär:
- Skiva rabarben i små bitar (se bilden ovan).
- Lägg sedan den skivade rabarbern, sirap, vatten, kanel och urgröpt vaniljstång i en kastrull.
- Låt koka upp tills rabarbern har mjuknat och rör samman.
- Servera tillsammans med vaniljglass eller hemmagjord mjukglass(se receptet nedan).
Mjukglass:
- 1 dl vispgrädde
- ½ liter (500g) vaniljglass
Gör såhär:
- Vispa grädden.
- Vispa sedan samman den vispade grädden och glassen. KLAR!
